I have a question. It will be 3 weeks since my concussion so I know that I have post concussion syndrome. I have a severe headache that will not go away and I stutter and I do have some memory issues. Mainly I feel pressure all in my head, mainly on the left side of my head and often I feel pressure and discomfort on my nose bridge and the front of my teeth?? I do have physical cold urticaria. Do you think this has what has made me have the post concussion syndrome?? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you for your time.
We are sorry to hear about your head injury.
The main risk factors for post concussion syndrome in the head injury patient population include ADHD, migraines, and depression. Though it is not discussed in the literature, your urticaria represents an immune system disturbance that may be a propagating factor of inflammation in your case, but we can not say this definitively as we have not evaluated you. Please make sure you are following up with a neurologist, and if you want us to evaluate your case let us know.
