Today we will be discussing Traumatic Brain Injury and PCS and factors perpetuating symptoms of the head injury.  Today we will focus particularly on how gastrointestinal barrier integrity is compromised as well as how the mitochondria (considered the powerhouse of our cells that generate cellular energy) are negatively affected by brain injury.
