Microbes and Autism: Rebuttal to Wall Street Journal Letter to the Editor

Today we will be discussing scientific literature examining alterations in gastrointestinal bacteria for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders versus normal individuals.  This was prompted by a Wall Street Journal article examining the powerful effects of gastrointestinal microbes on systemic diseases and health.  This article received a letter to the editor refuting the relationship between gastrointestinal bacteria especially in its relation to autism.  In today’s broadcast we are citing several scientific journal articles that are demonstrating a microbial link to autism.
