Alzheimer’s Disease: Can It Be Prevented?

Memory loss is a disabling problem, and a costly one too.  Alzheimer’s disease, the most common cause of dementia, is quoted in some references as being more expensive to take care of than cancer, heart attack, and stroke combined for a national health care system.  Even more disturbing is that the number of people with Alzheimer’s is projected to double every 20 years. Therefore, we have an unsustainable problem regarding memory loss.
